Synopsis
Duke Fergus (John Wayne) is a cowboy who competes with a gambling tycoon on the Barbary Coast for the hand of the beautiful dance-hall queen Ann 'Flaxen' Tarry (Ann Dvorak). The 1906 San Francisco earthquake shakes up the plot and provides the climax.
