Synopsis

In a small New York town, Sebastian Cole is an eccentric seventeen-year-old growing up with is mother, stepfather and sister. But when his stepfather, Hank, announces that he plans to become a woman, Sebastian's family and life are thrown into a tailspin. His sister escapes to California, while his mother decides she and her son should move back to England. A homesick Sebastian soon leaves his mother and moves back to live with Hank...who has already begun the transformation to Henrietta. Together, Sebastian and Henrietta form a unique bond. Henrietta becomes the one constant source of strength and faith in her stepson's life, teaching him how to brave the best and worst of his growing pains.
